Pablum. Bah-humbug. Ever After by Joan Hohl

The basic premise of the plot is weak.  Poor girl meets rich boy and goes off into the sunset with him after barely knowing him.  They pretend to be engaged so his mother will get off his back about still being single.  Yawn.  The first love scene was written so poorly and dealt with..no it wasn't dealt with.  Might as well have shared a bag of potato chips and gone their way.  It didn't get any better.  Characters were introduced and there was no development or importance to their appearance.  A 6 out of ten.  I'd read another of her books years ago that was a 7 out of ten.  If you are 18, bored, easily entertained, go for it.  Otherwise go for one of the other books I've reviewed.
