Blue Dahlia by Nora Roberts

First in a trilogy.  Nice love story.  Easy escape.  Stella was safe and secure in a forever loving marriage until her husband’s plane went down.  She struggled for a few years and decided to try for a job back in the Southern town of her birth.  She packed up her sons, sold the house, and applied for a job at a prosperous greenhouse business.  The business was run by a wealthy widow who also decided to make something more of her life.  Joining them is another young single gal whose baby is due soon.  These three main characters are the main story theme for each book in the trilogy.  Of course there are men in their lives with whom a romance could develop.  Stella doesn’t get off on the right foot with her future love interest and that makes an enjoyable read, too.  The ghost in the main house adds another fictional diversion.  No challenge, no nail biting, no suspense, just a sweet read. 8 out of 10.
