Mean Streak, by Sandra Brown

Emory, a doctor, wife, philanthropist, and avid long distance runner is unconscious on a mountain when picked up and saved by a mystery man. He cares for her in a remote mountain cabin for days in dreadful winter weather, but she is threatened as well as cared for as he will tell her nothing about himself, even his name. Attacking him to escape is futile. After four days leaving him forever is also futile, but he drops her off to be “found” and live her life. He is on the run and has been chased for years. But he is also the chaser. In the mean time, her husband is suspect #1 in her disappearance and then the twists and turns of the plot keep you guessing and missing and guessing again and missing again. As the law closes in for both of them, there are more twists to the plot. It’s a must read. Chose a time when you don’t have to do anything else in your life for a day or two as you won’t want to put it down any more than you want it to end.  10 out of 10.
