Porch Lights by Dorothea Benton Frank. Always like stories about the East coast beach area, away from the big cities. Jackie’s husband has died and she and her son Charlie go to live with her Mom for awhile during summer vacation. Daughter and Mom, Annie, have not gotten along very well, but Charlie needs a change of scenery to recover from the loss of his dad. More relationships to wonder about are the ones between Annie and her beach house neighbor, and between Annie and her husband who has lived away for many years. As usual there is a big storm, weather wise and between characters. Nice read, lovely location to imagine, romance. A read for relaxing, coasting along, sweet entertainment. 8/10.
