Don’t Go by Lisa Scottoline

It is bad enough to leave a successful medical practice to  serve in Afghanistan, but to also leave a baby girl and a wife who begs you not to go makes it much harder.  Mike is only a month from the end of his tour when he gets the worse news possible.  His young wife if dead.  While the accident that takes her life seems to need no further investigation, Mike finds out many disturbing facts about his wife’s life while he was gone.  His wife’s sister and husband take over the care of his daughter, making him sign papers to be legal guardians, when he returns to duty. They take over other parts of his life too.  There are many layers of intrigue in this great book 9 out of 10.
