Rising Tides by Emilie Richards

Rising Tides, by Emilie Richards. The plot moves between two time periods of a southern Louisiana family and includes conflict between generations, races, fortunes, and political aspirations. Secrets, secrets, secrets. The patriarch of the family, dies without telling her deepest secrets, and they are doozies. The lawyer calls the family together for the reading of the will. Each person who comes must stay in the family cottage together for four days or forfeit their share of the inheritance. And a hurricane is coming. Family? They look at each other and say, figuratively, “No way.”  Yes, way.  Except for one. You will love to hate the bad guys. Which ones are the bad guys? I love romance novels of the Old South and this mixes that with the New South. Fortunes are being made and lost. 8 out of 10.
