Blue Clouds, by Patricia Rice. The verbal stabs between the two main characters were highly entertaining. Neither person gave an inch, yet both gave a mile. She leaves her home and life to escape a violent boyfriend who won't give up and as a member of a police force, has connections to pursue her. Her new job, a continent away, pits her against a bossy, head-strong, mysterious, but rich and wealthy man. Her job is to care for his disabled son, whom he has spoiled and isolated. His community considers him their enemy, his ex-wife if after him and wants their son, her ex-boy friend is a out there on the prowl, the child needs help, and the two are always at odds with each other. A fun read. 8+ out of 10. Recommended.
