Salvage the Bones by Jesmyn Ward

I said this was "Savage" the Bones all the while I read it and wrote the review.  Still there is nothing to saLvage, either.  Yuck. Students required to read this for a major university in the U.S....sorry you have to waste your time with this go nowhere, accomplish nothing, uninspiring, useless, book. The one character who could get out of the downtrodden pattern was held back by family over and over. The one hope they sacrificed for is a continuation of how they muddle along with no one realistically aiming to work to get themselves a step up from their abject poverty. 1 out of 10.
